1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Skim ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Skim is a Shopify analytics application that provides profit analysis, customer insights, and AI-powered recommendations. The Service connects to your Shopify store via the Shopify API to access and analyze your store data.

3. Account Registration

To use Skim, you must:

  • Have an active Shopify store
  • Authorize Skim to access your store data
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harm or exploit minors
  • Transmit viruses or malicious code

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skim and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Your data remains your property; we are granted a license to process it solely to provide the Service.

6. Payment Terms

During our early access period, Skim is free to use. When we introduce paid plans:

  • Fees will be clearly communicated before you are charged
  • Subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Refunds may be issued at our discretion
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. The insights and recommendations provided are for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial or business advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SKIM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skim and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may disconnect your store at any time through your Shopify admin panel.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
